February 27, 2007 Well today we had a very productive day of ridge walking, and my knee seemed to fair very well. Way to go Doc Huff! We found several new (at least new to us) caves along a road way. We parked and proceeded to walk and explore the ridge line for new cracks and checking the ones we could see from the road. We found at least 6. We shot coordinates and took some pictures of the entrance to some of them and proceeded to sneak a peak inside. Some was only 10-15 feet deep and others was a little longer. Not that was was disappointed about any of them. We just wish we could have found a nice big passage, but not today. Maybe next time. We drove on over to the Sinks of the Round Stone cave and walked the river to the lower entrance that we had never been too. We knew it was supposed to be there according to the map. Sure enough we found it. With some ice hanging over it. Unfortunately it appeared flooded so we will have to come back again another day , maybe during the drought of summer and check it again. I am going to try to put some pictures on here. To share in giving the others on here the fever. I think I like ridge walking, looking for new caves almost as much as I do actually exploring the ones we find. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures we took. More adventures to come later, I am sure of that. Brother taking a look ... Sinks of the Roundstone (cluster of 5 Entrances) Sinks of Roundstone river entrance Now this is a tree(too bad if fell)

Looks like a fine day for ridgewalking and stretching out that knee! Even when you don't find new or interesting caves it is still fun to walk around and look. Well most of the time it is. I remember a few trips through stinging nettles, up steep slopes, across slick ledges, etc that weren't all that pleasant. But overall it is fun to be outside especially on an early spring day.
Keep looking - you'll find something worth the effort soon enough!

Thanks for posting the trip report Tony! It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Great photo from Sinks of the Roundstone Cave with all the ice at the entrances.
