The world's cheapest car was unveiled by Tata Motors today. The price just $2,500. It is reported the car average about 50 miles per gallon which would be terrific on those long drives for caving trips. BUT the Nano is only about 10 feet long and 5 feet wide -- so is there enough room to store caving gear as well an extra caver or two? Humm subcompact? Tata unveils world's cheapest car

The article says it seats 5, albeit a bit cramped. That's about the same as my Escort, and we've taken it to Convention. On the other hand, we've also taken Eugene's Hundyai Accent to Convention with a week's camping gear, etc., too. and it can only sit 4.

Well maybe the Nano would have enough room for caving gear. The 50 miles per gallon really makes it a temptation. ;D
