MONTPELIER, Vt. — Members of Congress from 13 states are asking the Obama administration for emergency funding to investigate the cause of a mysterious illness that has killed an estimated 500,000 bats.
In a letter signed by Vermont's congressional delegation and members from 12 other states, the lawmakers say white nose syndrome has profound implications for public health, the environment and the economy.
